  • Skylight

With every beat the world shifted.  My eye sockets filled with crimson blood, nutrients to keep my vision alive. New life pumped into my eyes, transforming colors and changing wavelengths. I was awake and bright, my optic nerves sensitive in sight. The beauty intensified with a thundering cloudburst. As the sky opened up, streams of light filtered through the falling raindrops, blasting my senses. An angel descended, floating slowly, brilliant like solid sunshine and whispered you name in my ear. The word spilled like ivy vines and took root in my mind, growing, quietly subdued. Soon after, the sun set, and I was left alone with a vision, dipping into the grainy, pixilated night, fishing for dreams. As for you, I never found you, but I told you everything in technicolor dreams.
